Bellehouse Event Venue Honored as 2025 Main Street Hero
Enterprise, Alabama - August 26, 2026 - Main Street Alabama held its Annual Heroes Toast to Excellence presented by Regions celebrating a year of achievement within the Main Street Alabama Districts.
During the event, Bellehouse Event Venue was recognized with the Main Street Hero Award for its outstanding support of Main Street Madison and its continued commitment to strengthening the Madison community.
Located in the heart of the Main Street Madison district, Bellehouse Event Venue is a beautifully restored historic indoor/outdoor event space that opened in December 2024. Owned and operated by long-time Madison residents Rod and Brenda Matthews, Bellehouse has quickly become an important community asset, providing a versatile space for corporate meetings, weddings, baby showers, community gatherings, and other events.
From its beginning, Bellehouse has demonstrated a strong commitment to the growth and success of Main Street Madison. In 2025, the Matthews generously donated its venue for several important Main Street activities, including Main Street Designation Planning and Celebration, Main Street Madison Resource Team Week, and monthly board meetings.
The total value of Bellehouse's in-kind contributions to Main Street Madison in 2025 exceeded $10,500.
When Pet Pics with Santa had to be moved indoors because of weather, Bellehouse opened its doors and provided the space needed to keep the event moving forward. The event not only promoted the Main Street district but also resulted in a charitable donation to the Madison Animal Rescue Foundation.
Bellehouse has further supported Main Street Madison by donating its event space and golf cart for visits with Leadership Greater Huntsville. The golf cart provided Main Street Madison with an opportunity to offer VIP tours of the district to Leadership Greater Huntsville directors and executives. These visits helped showcase the district, promote local businesses, advance economic vitality, and cultivate relationships within the broader community.
Rod and Brenda Matthews have demonstrated their commitment not only through the use of their business but also through direct service to Main Street Madison. Brenda Matthews serves as Vice Chair of the Main Street Madison Board, while Rod Matthews serves as Chair of the Economic Vitality Committee.
Their involvement reflects a commitment to helping Main Street Madison build strong relationships, support local businesses, promote the district, and create opportunities for community collaboration.
